Asbestos and free crystalline silica testing
Scope Geo provides precise testing to help you meet compliance, minimise exposure, and protect your team from harmful dust. We specialise in the identification of asbestos and free silica in bulk materials, rock samples, and fine dusts.
Our testing is suitable for:
- Quarry and mine materials
- Construction products, concrete, and hardened materials
- Source rock and fine particulate dusts
- Site risk assessments and compliance reporting
Whether you’re in a major city like Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, or in a remote location in outback WA, we can support your compliance and safety testing needs.

What we test
- AS 5370:2024 compliance for asbestos in bulk materials by petrographic assessment
- SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy) or TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy) for confirming asbestiform fibres
- XRD (X-ray Diffraction) for total free crystalline silica content
- Petrographic screening for free crystalline silica
