Quarry assessments
Quarry Assessments
Our quarry assessments combine on-site geological inspections with lab-tested data to provide a comprehensive understanding of your source rock’s suitability, quality, and compliance.
Our team of qualified engineering geologists, assess quarry geology in accordance with AS 1726 and relevant QRS specifications (QRS2, QRS3, QRS4). We help quarry operators and construction suppliers understand whether their site can produce compliant materials, including large, defect-free boulders for marine armour rock or accredited materials for Main Roads projects. Quarry assessments consider geological structures, weathering profiles, and material consistency to determine the viability of producing to project-specific requirements.

What we test
- On-site geological inspections in accordance with AS 1726
- Assessment of source rock for suitability in producing compliant materials
- Interpretation of laboratory test data (e.g. particle size, strength, durability) in line with project requirements
- Accreditation support for supply to Main Roads
- Project-specific quarry assessments for specialised contracts
